Plagiarism Policy

NEXCORE: Journal of Computer Science & Intelligent Systems upholds academic integrity and is fully committed to preventing all forms of plagiarism in scholarly publishing.

Plagiarism in any form is considered a serious ethical violation and will not be tolerated.


1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying part or all of another author's work without proper citation

  • Presenting others' ideas, methods, data, or research findings as one's own

  • Paraphrasing without appropriate attribution

  • Duplicate publication (self-plagiarism)

  • Citation manipulation


2. Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software, such as:

  • Turnitin

  • iThenticate

  • Plagiarism Checker X 

Screening is conducted during:

  • Initial editorial assessment

  • Final revision stage (if necessary)


3. Similarity Threshold

NEXCORE applies the following similarity limits:

  • Maximum 20% total similarity index

  • Maximum 5% similarity from a single source

Manuscripts exceeding these limits will:

  • Be returned for revision

  • Or be rejected in cases of severe plagiarism


4. Handling Plagiarism Cases

If plagiarism is suspected:

  • The editor will conduct an initial evaluation

  • Authors will be asked for clarification

  • The Editorial Board will decide according to COPE guidelines

Possible sanctions include:

  • Manuscript rejection

  • Article retraction

  • Author blacklisting for future submissions


5. Author Responsibilities

Authors are fully responsible for the originality of their submissions and must:

  • Ensure the manuscript is original

  • Provide proper citations and references

  • Avoid duplicate publication


6. Plagiarism Ethics Statement

NEXCORE follows the ethical guidelines of:

Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

And supports honest, transparent, and responsible scholarly publishing practices.
