Publication Ethics

NEXCORE: Journal of Computer Science & Intelligent Systems is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Duties and Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for all articles published in NEXCORE and ensure a fair, objective, and transparent editorial process.

Editors' responsibilities include:

  • Making publication decisions based on academic merit, originality, and relevance.

  • Ensuring a fair peer-review process free from conflicts of interest.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of authors and reviewers.

  • Handling ethical misconduct according to COPE guidelines.

2. Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the scientific quality of the journal.

Reviewers' responsibilities include:

  • Providing objective, constructive, and timely reviews.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

  • Declaring any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Identifying possible plagiarism, duplication, or data manipulation.

3. Duties and Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original and not under consideration elsewhere.

Authors' responsibilities include:

  • Presenting accurate and honest research data.

  • Avoiding plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification.

  • Ensuring proper authorship attribution.

  • Disclosing funding sources and potential conflicts of interest.

4. Plagiarism Policy

NEXCORE applies a strict plagiarism policy.

  • All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software.

  • Maximum similarity index is 20% with a maximum of 5% from a single source.

  • Manuscripts violating this policy will be rejected or returned for revision.

5. Duplicate Submission and Redundant Publication

Authors are prohibited from submitting the same or substantially similar manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.

6. Retraction and Correction Policy

Articles may be retracted or corrected if ethical violations, data errors, or research misconduct are identified.

7. Conflict of Interest

All parties (editors, reviewers, and authors) must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the publication process.
