Author Guidelines

1. General Information

NEXCORE: Journal of Computer Science & Intelligent Systems is a peer-reviewed international journal published by Soratekno Publisher. The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, and case studies in the field of computer science, information technology, and intelligent systems.

The journal is published periodically and applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure scientific quality.


2. Scope of the Journal

NEXCORE publishes manuscripts in the following areas (but not limited to):

  • Computer Science and Computing

  • Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

  • Software Engineering

  • Information Systems

  • Computer Networks and Cloud Computing

  • Internet of Things (IoT)

  • Cyber Security

  • Human–Computer Interaction

  • Digital Transformation and Smart Systems


3. Types of Manuscripts

NEXCORE accepts the following manuscript types:

  1. Original Research Articles

  2. Review Articles (Systematic Literature Review / Meta-analysis)

  3. Case Studies and Applied Research

All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.


4. Manuscript Language

Manuscripts may be written in:

  • English (recommended for international visibility)

  • Bahasa Indonesia

Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to use professional language editing services prior to submission.


5. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the following structure:

5.1 Title Page

  • Concise and informative title (max. 20 words)

  • Full author names (without academic titles)

  • Affiliation(s)

  • Corresponding author email

  • ORCID ID (recommended)


5.2 Abstract

  • 150–250 words

  • Written in English and Bahasa Indonesia

  • Contains: background, objective, method, results, and conclusion

  • No citations allowed


5.3 Keywords

  • 3–5 keywords

  • Separated by semicolons (;)

  • Avoid repeating words from the title


5.4 Introduction

Contains:

  • Research background

  • Problem formulation

  • Research objectives

  • Contribution and novelty of the study


5.5 Literature Review

Contains:

  • Related studies

  • Theoretical foundation

  • Research gap


5.6 Methodology

Contains:

  • Research design

  • Data sources

  • Instruments

  • Analysis techniques

  • System architecture (if applicable)


5.7 Results and Discussion

Contains:

  • Research findings

  • System implementation

  • Model evaluation

  • Interpretation of results

  • Comparison with previous studies


5.8 Conclusion

Contains:

  • Summary of findings

  • Research implications

  • Limitations

  • Future research directions

NEXCORE uses APA 7th Edition reference style.

At least 80% from international journals (last 5 years)
DOI is strongly recommended.


8. Plagiarism Policy

  • Maximum similarity: ? 20%

  • Maximum single source: ? 5%

  • Checked using Turnitin or equivalent software

Manuscripts exceeding similarity limits will be rejected or returned for revision.


9. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the NEXCORE Online Journal System (OJS):

  1. Register as Author

  2. Submit manuscript

  3. Upload supplementary files (if any)

  4. Complete metadata

  5. Confirm submission


10. Peer Review Process

NEXCORE applies a double-blind peer review system:

  1. Initial screening by editor

  2. Similarity check

  3. Review by at least two independent reviewers

  4. Editorial decision:

    • Accept

    • Minor revision

    • Major revision

    • Reject

Average review time: 4–6 weeks


11. Publication Ethics

NEXCORE follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) principles.

Authors must ensure:

  • Originality of work

  • No plagiarism

  • No data fabrication or falsification

  • No multiple submission

  • Proper authorship attribution

  • Conflict of interest disclosure


12. Copyright and License

Authors retain copyright and grant NEXCORE the right of first publication.

Articles are published under:

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0)
